Motivation, enthusiasm and action are key in a sales role!

However, there are times when we simply just don't feel like it, we can't see the wood for the tree's and sometimes life just gets in the way.

In this section I would like to share some pointers with you - things to think about and consider in an effort to help keep you motivated and perceived as an enthusiastic person.


Luck... is there such a thing? We could argue that one all day in the meantime take this on board!

How do we make our own luck?

  • Be enthusiastic!
  • Believe in what we are doing.
  • Sound great. Send a smile down the line.
  • Be confident. If we look good, we feel good, and if we feel good we can sound good.
  • Plan. At the end of each day make a list of the tasks for tomorrow; number them in order of importance. Then, the next day work your list.
  • Stand up. It is not easy to be or sound enthusiastic if you sit down all day long.
  • Keep up the tempo. Have some noise in the background, best of all others selling.
  • Listen. Good sales people monopolise the listening; poor salespeople monopoloise the talking. We have two ears and one mouth - use them in that order.
  • Develop desire. It's our desire , not our ability, that determines success.
  • Persist. don't ever quit. The only thing failure cannot live with is persistence.
